Random Bible Verses

Once in a while I like to add random Bible verses.  They might be ones mentioned during my church service or from one of my Bible studies.  All verses come from the King James Version of the Bible, unless noted.

Nehemiah 9-13-14

13.  Thou comest down also upon mount Sinai; and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgements, and true laws, good statutes and commandments
14.  And madest know unto them thy holy Sabbath, and commandest them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant.
Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, sayin, verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations: that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.

Exodus 23:10-12

10.  And in six years thou shalt sow the land, abd shalt gahter in the fruits thereof:
11.  But in the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat.  In like manner thou shalt deal with the vineyard, and with the olive garden.
12.  For six days that shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ax and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy hand maid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

Leviticus 25:2-4

2.  Speak untot he children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you; then shalt the land keep a Sabbath untot the Lord
3.  Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4.  But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a Sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow ty field, nor prune thy vineyard.

Mark 6:31  And he said unto them, come ye yourselves a part into a desert place, and rest for a while:  for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Colossians 2:16-17
16.  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days.
17.  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Genesis 2:4-5

4.  These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the ehavens.
5.  And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb in the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

Genesis 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Job 33:6 Behold, I am accordig to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of clay.

Isaiah 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his maker!  Let the postherd strive with the postherds of the earth.  Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, what makest thou?  or thy work, He hath no hands?

Jeremiah 18:6  A house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter?  saith the Lord, Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, a house of Israel.

Genesis 2:8  And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Genesis 2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

Genesis 2:11 The name of the first is the Pison: that isit which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

Genesis 2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

Genesis 2:13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that commpassest the whole land of Ethiopia.
Genesis 2:14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekeli: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria.  And the fourth river is Euphrates.

In some versions of the Bible, the third river is the Tigris.

Genesis 2:9  And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

 1 Corinthians 11:11-12

11.  Nethertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12.  For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

Genesis 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Genesis 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.


28.  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies.  He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Matthew 19:11-12

Corinthians 7:26 I suppose therefore that is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.

Acts 1:21-22

Ephesians 4:20-24

Colossians 3:9-10

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
